Merci Gift Cards, part 1

This has been a very busy week for me in my "real life" (i.e. the life I have to live when I am NOT stamping or being crafty!)  I work for a global company, and this week we had some very important 'higher ups' visiting.  One such person has become a good friend to me - and I wanted to thank her in a special way.

As it turns out - she is from France and I just HAPPEN to have a "Merci" stamp in my arsenal...funny how that works out right?

So I made a set of thank you cards for her - and these are the first four that I made.  (stay tuned for the second half!)

MIM #64 - Using Color Inspiration

Hello-

It's been awhile, but today I am participating in this week's Make it Monday - Using Color Inspiration.

This is the color palette I chose (how could I not? Winter Wisteria was my wedding color!)

...and here is my card... just in time for Mother's Day!

I used Ocean Tides as my card base, and stamped the frame directly onto the patterned paper - using Ocean Tides ink.  The sentiment was stamped using Smokey Shadow and Winter Wisteria ink.  The flowers were also stamped using Winter Wisteria, and the leaves are Simply Chartreuse.  A few white pearls finish it off :-)

Coffee Cup Birthday Tags

I knew when I saw this coffee cup stamp, it was going to come home to live with me!  My hubby and I drink coffee... A LOT of coffee... even right before we go to bed.

This is the first time I have had a chance to really break it out and have fun with it... I paired it up with a sentiment from Trendy Tree Tops (PTI).

Dot Spot Thank You Cards

I am on a HUGE Green & Blue kick lately... I am just loving these two colors together :-)  Just for fun, I shook things up by including some pink as well.  Colors are Simply Chartreuse, Hawaiian Shores and Berry Sorbet (PTI)

Tea Cup Gift Tags

So I finally had a few days off from work, and I took advantage of the time to get crackin' on some crafty projects :-)

Masculine Gift Tags

I'm not sure why I am on a Father's Day kick lately... Mother's Day isn't even here yet!! I think it's because my dad has been over at my house a lot in the last few days - doing odd jobs and supervising several improvement projects :-)   Anyhow - here is a little set of tags I made for the "men" in your life :-)

I used the Tie die from PTI and the paper is scraps from My Mind's Eye. I stamped the frame in Kraft ink from PTI ( I LOVE that color!)

Cards from Leftovers, part 2

Ok, ok, I know I am a bit early with this one - but the masculine colors and my intense desire to try out my new stamp set led me to this card -

This time, I used the patterned paper in a horizontal orientation, and capped it off with a stamped die cut from Happy Day (oh how I am loving this set already!)

I'm just hoping I remember where I put this card come June... LOL!

Cards from Leftovers, part 1

Hello-

If you are like me, you just HATE throwing away scraps of paper - especially if its a pattern or color scheme that you particularly love.

That is what happened here.  I had some leftover paper from My Mind's Eye - and I loved the color combo so much, I knew I had to use it all up!

I used a few of the scraps plus some glitter ribbon to create a vertical strip.  I broke that up with a die cut from Happy Day (PTI), a scalloped circle and a stamped tag from 2012 Birthday Tags (PTI).

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all of you that celebrate it :-)

I spent today with my cousins - participating in an Egg Hunt - needless to say, I found my egg last!

For my little cousins, I whipped up these quick treat bags.  I filled the bags with Bunny Bait - Popcorn, pretzels, pastel marshmallows, and M&Ms. YUM!
